This means 2 things:
- Credit cards make lousy transit cards which we already knew
- EZ-Link has settled on being just a transit card instead of a transit platform

Reader reports of endless problems and poor performance with EZ-Link – EMV contactless integration only prove that EMV contactless sucks for transit.
UPDATE 2
TransLink launched their EMV contactless transit service SimplyGO. I don’t think native CEPAS transit card emulation on mobile devices will ever be a thing.
